Contribute to CASA
The Sunflower CASA Project, Inc. is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. We are funded through competitive grants at the city and state level as well as through private foundations. Contributions from individuals are extremely important to the function of our agency.
Funding is provided by:
- City of Manhattan Social Services Advisory Board Grant
- City of Manhattan Special Alcohol and Drug Fund Grant
- United Way of Riley County
- Kansas Health Foundation
- York Children's Fund
- Riley County Commission (in-kind donation of office space, utilities, and telephone for our administrative office in Manhattan)
- Riley County District Court (in-kind donation of supplies, postage, and copier)
- Crime Victim Assistance Grant for Child Abuse and Neglect (administered by the Office of the Kansas Attorney General)
- Child Exchange and Visitation Center Grant (administered by the Office of the Kansas Attorney General)
- Federal State Access and Visitation Grant (administered by the Office of the Governor)
- Permanent Families Fund (administered by the Office of Judicial Administration)
According to the program surveys submitted to the Office of Judicial Administration in 2006 by CASA programs from across the state of Kansas, Sunflower CASA Project has one of the lowest costs per child, with a rank of 20 out of 24 CASA programs in the state of Kansas.
