Information for Current CASA Volunteers
Just a reminder that you need 6 hours of in-service training per year. Below are a few options you can do from home.
- Arizona State CASA Program Training - visit www.supremecourt.az.gov/casa/training.htm and complete any of the modules. Write a brief summary of what you learned and send it to our office. They have many interesting topics! Hours vary based on the modules - please let us know how much time you spent.
- The Children's Alliance of Kansas has some online training classes. Visit www.chilally.org.
- Watch a movie! A Beautiful Mind, I Am Sam, Finding Fish, or White Oleander are great choices. Write a brief summary of what you learned from the movie and how it applies to your work with CASA. Again, let us know how much time you spent.
- Listen to conference audio recordings on the National CASA web site - visit casanet.org and complete the worksheets associated with the sessions for credit.
If you know anyone who would be an outstanding child advocate, please take the time to talk with them about volunteering for CASA. We still need more advocates, particularly men and anyone willing to work with teenagers. You are our best recruiters, and we really need your help!
